Tabitha St. Bernard-Jacobs (she/her)

is a Trinidadian-American mom, writer, and award-winning artist and organizer. She is also a leading voice on antiracist parenting and is the co-author of the biweekly column, Raising Anti-Racist Kids. She also writes for Parents, Good Housekeeping, Apartment Therapy’s Cubby At Home and more. Aligned with her purpose of infusing antiracist parenting practices in the lives of everyday parents, she has interviewed many notable figures, including Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, Kelly Rowland, Dr. Ibram X. Kendi, and Chris “Ludacris” Bridges. Tabitha consulted with Penguin on the kids book, Little Activists. She wrote the first chapter on raising an antiracist baby in the parenting book, 100 Diverse Voices on Parenthood. She wrote a chapter on the joys of being a Black woman for the book, A Year Of Black Joy. Tabitha is one of the women who spearheaded the organization of the Women’s March On Washington on January 21st, 2017, helping organize the historic marches that spanned many countries and continents. She currently serves as Senior Advisor, Strategic Partnerships of the organization after serving as Deputy Executive Director of Program. In this role, among other duties, she has spearheaded partnerships with the WNBA, Lush Cosmetics, Ben & Jerry's, Johnny Walker, Cora Women, The Body Shop and more. In 2017, Tabitha co-founded Youth Empower, the youth arm of Women's March where, among other things, she led the team that organized the historic 2018 National School Walkouts against gun violence that saw over 2 million students demand safety from gun violence. Tabitha is on the Advisory Council of Custom Collaborative. She is also a governance committee member of the New York Fashion Workforce Development Coalition. Her work at the intersection of art and activism has been featured on MTV, MarketWatch, Al Jazeera, WWD, NowThis, LA Times, Forbes, Nylon and NY1, to name a few. Together with 24 other Women's March organizers, she was recognized as one of Glamour Magazine’s 2017 Women of the Year. She has been featured in the book, 200 Women Who Will Change The Way You See The World. She was also named one of 100 Women Who Stood Up To Trump In His First 100 Days. Tabitha has a speech impediment and is learning to live with her stutter more and more each day. She is raising two incredible kids with her favorite human, Adam. Adam St. Bernard Jacobs(he/him)

is a peace educator and nonprofit leader. He has played a wide range of roles in local and national education nonprofits for over 20 years, from being the co-founder and Executive Director of an arts education organization in NYC to his current role as the Co-Executive Director of a national nonprofit focused on school climate. He was also a member of the team that founded a community elementary school in The Bronx. He works with a variety of groups to dismantle white supremacy in arts education and Jewish institutions. He has written articles and led workshops in conflict resolution and the arts, giving talks and workshops at Columbia University, The Peace and Justice Studies Conference, Gettysburg College, and The University of Istanbul, among others. Adam has an undergraduate degree in International Politics, a Masters degree in Peace Education, and a Certificate in Senior Nonprofit Leadership, all from Columbia University, as well as an undergraduate degree in Rabbinic Law from The Jewish Theological Seminary of America.  He was also Mr. Clown, a lead performer in the internationally acclaimed rock group for kids, The Dirty Sock Funtime Band, and was a regular on Nick Jr. and Chuck E Cheese TV. He is raising 2 fantastic children with his life partner, Tabitha.
